What this site collects
You can read the guides without registering. This site has no enquiry form, account, online booking or online payment facility.
The claim preparation checklist and claim calculator process entries on your device. They do not send your answers or amounts to us. Basic events, such as a call-button click or a broad result category, are held in browser memory; they are not sent to an analytics service. The site does not save these entries in cookies or local storage.
Loading a page involves your browser sending technical information, including an IP address, the page requested and browser information, to the server delivering it. This is separate from your calculator entries.
The tools provide guidance and arithmetic only. They do not make insurance, credit or other decisions about you.
Cloudflare hosting and security
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. It processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages, maintain reliability and prevent abuse. Its services may process information outside the UK. Cloudflare describes its international-transfer safeguards and retention criteria in its privacy policy.
Cloudflare security features may use cookies when needed to assess or challenge suspicious traffic. These are separate from our page tools, which do not store your answers. We have not enabled Cloudflare Web Analytics for this site.
Cookies, analytics and external links
The site code does not set cookies, use advertising pixels or connect to a third-party analytics provider. Fonts and images are served with the site; there are no embedded maps, videos or review widgets.
Following a link to another website takes you to that organisation’s service, where its privacy and cookie notices apply. Selecting a telephone or email link opens your chosen calling or email application.
Enquiries and leak detection bookings
When you contact ADI, it may need your name, contact details, property and billing addresses, leak details and site-access contacts to answer an enquiry or arrange work. A landlord, managing agent or other representative may provide relevant details on your behalf.
Booking, payment and service records are handled by ADI, rather than collected by these website tools. ADI’s published terms state that head-office calls are recorded for quality and training and retained for 30 days. Do not send payment-card details by email.
Why information is used
- Enquiries and services: to take steps you request before a contract and to perform an agreed contract.
- Website delivery and support: legitimate interests in providing a working service, responding to questions and preventing misuse.
- Quality and dispute handling: legitimate interests in checking service quality and investigating concerns.
- Legal requirements: to meet applicable record-keeping duties and respond to lawful requests.
Providing contact or booking details is voluntary, but ADI may be unable to respond or arrange work without the information needed for that request. Using the site is not consent to marketing.
Who may receive information
Relevant staff and service providers may process information needed to deliver the website or a booked service. ADI’s published policy describes sharing with payment providers, insurers requesting job details, other trades with permission, and authorities or advisers where required for legal matters or safety.
ADI states that it does not sell customer information or use it for unsolicited marketing. Contact ADI using the details above for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry or booking.
How long information is kept
Calculator entries and interaction events are not stored by the website for later retrieval. Browser-held state is cleared when the page is fully reloaded or closed; ordinary browser history and cache are controlled by your browser.
ADI’s published policy says service records are retained as needed to provide services and refer to earlier investigations, subject to deletion requests and legal requirements. There is no single published retention period for all booking records. You can ask ADI which retention criteria apply to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your information. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us using the details above to make a request.
If you are unhappy with how information is handled, contact us so we can consider your concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or call its helpline on 0303 123 1113.
